wow our God is AMAZING.!
this past week i was a CIT at Camp Garaywa and WOW.! thats all i can say... being a CIT is helpin out a certain cabin for a week, learning new things about being a leader to kids,doing many behind the scene things,and many more..the theme of this years camp was "Life On The Trail" which is life on God's trail. I know thats pretty simple but we opened it up and looked at it more closer..
the verse was "To this you were called, since Christ suffered for you leaving you an example to follow in His steps." 1 Peter 2:2.
Each day we looked at part of that verse. and wow my kids really grabbed hold to the first day. we talked out we are all different.. there is nobody else like you. you are beauitful and unique.the second day we talked about Christ DIED for US.! though he didnt want to he did FOR US so we could live with Him FOREVER.!
how amazing is that..- we have a God who would give his life for him so we can live with Him FOREVER.!!
the third day was leaving an example to your family and friends..- saying that we should go out and let others see God in us so we can be an example for the lost people in this world. the fourth day we talked about letting others see God mirrowed in us.
the way we live our lives should mirrow God.
The CIT'S proved something..- or tried to.. wednesday this girl told her CIT that she wasn't going to eat because she thought she was FAT.! the CIT explained to her your not fat, God made you this way and you shouldn't think other than it and the girl said to the CIT if God made us beautiful then why do you wear so much make up to cover your face..? that made us think about what the world is saying it's saying if your not a size 0 your fat and ugly.
GIRLS WE ARE BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER WHAT THE WORLD TELLS US.!
so the next day the CIT'S went "AU NATURAL" meaning we didnt fix our hair, we didnt put on any make-up. we proved that \
we shouldn't care what the world thinks because we were made BEAUTIFUL with Christ shinning through us..!
the song "Beautiful" by Bethany Dillion was what we did a skit for that nite at "Skit Nite" we made shirts that said AU NATURAL on the front then a verse on the back.. this is one of my favorite verses.. it say,
"Charm is DECEITFUL and BEAUTY is PASSING , but the WOMAN who FEARS the LORD, SHE shall be PRAISED" Proverbs 31:30
how amazing is that?
this week has made me think about myself..- i am FOREVER CHANGED..!!!!
